ABOUT US
ISAVE (Intimate partner Sexual Abuse and Violation Education) was founded in 2023 by Sarah Christian Workman, JD, LCSW, as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Our mission is to improve sexual health and pleasure by teaching respectful sexual behavior. As a mental health clinician, legal professional, and survivor, Sarah believes all people deserve safe, healthy sexual relationships—and that advocating for one’s own desires is an essential act of empowerment.
ISAVE teaches the building blocks of respectful intimacy: non-coercive consent, navigating different levels of desire, and understanding how personality and communication styles shape closeness. We emphasize that emotional intimacy is a foundation for vulnerability and authentic sexual connection. Research and lived experience show that three elements are often crucial for pleasurable intimacy, especially for women: low stress, high affection, and erotic energy.
By spreading knowledge and providing tools for both safety and pleasure, ISAVE helps people move beyond fear and silence toward confidence, joy, and connection. You’re invited to take a class, attend a talk, listen to a podcast, or become an ambassador for respectful sexual practices.
Sex is a gift, a pleasure, and often a relief—and with the right tools, we can all enjoy more (and better) sex with the ones we love.
